Hazmat drones operate in the toxic zone outside Velas city and have a much more efficient fuel system than other drones. They can operate for long missions on contaminated ground with fuel from gas or fuel canisters attached to their backs. Their mission is mostly to retrieve objects or take samples from contaminated areas.

During the 10% transformation phase, rookie drones become highly disoriented and attempt to flee or return to the city. However, it is impossible for them to return to the city until they have completed their assigned mission. Individuals who have voluntarily become Hazmat Drones accept the transformation process and begin to fulfill their mission.

As the transformation progresses to 40%, the bones and muscles of their arms and legs become covered in latex, and they gradually lose the sensations they once had as humans. They go through the process of adapting and getting used to the fluid movement of the latex, rather than the feel of a physical hand.

When the transformation reaches 80%, even the body's organs are turned latex, completely transforming the internal organs. The body no longer needs the traditional digestive process, as it becomes a simple mucus organ, and at this stage, waste disposal also disappears. Most drones' wills are broken, and they find it easier to obey Gleipnir's commands. They no longer recognize their own independent existence and become mindless slaves.

At 100% dronification, even the last remaining brain is covered in latex goo and all personal consciousness, memories, and personality are lost. At this point, Hazmat drones are in a state of total submission, no longer even recognizing what they are, reduced to mere tools that carry out orders. They are no longer human beings, but tools that move at Gleipnir's command.

Nevertheless, there is still the possibility that the unconscious or the instincts of the species may emerge from these 100% latexed drones. Despite having their memories completely wiped, they may still exhibit instinctive reactions in certain environments or conditions. To eliminate these variables, Gleipnir's researchers collect physical and mental data from the Hazmat drones.

drones have a device that converts their body waste into fuel. This device collects the waste from the body, purifies it through a special filter, and converts it directly into fuel, which is fed into the drone's fuel system. By the time dronification is complete, the drone will be physiologically independent, able to operate for a very long time without eating food.
