ANKH
ANKH is Gleipnir's most profitable core department, specializing in research and development and intelligence gathering. Unlike the other departments, all of ANKH's employees are entirely droned. This means that they have no emotional or personal motivation and operate in complete subordination to the company. The lower-level drone employees are so thoroughly programmed that they are never able to resist or react to the disdain and disregard they receive from other human employees.
In addition to the subordinate drones, there is a higher hierarchy of “Dominant Drones” within ANKH. Unlike the subordinate drones, they retain their original personalities and emotions before becoming drones, but their unconditional loyalty and obedience to the company has been forced upon them through the droneization process. Dominant drones also possess special abilities, including the ability to convert people into drones and the ability to control their minds through hypnosis. However, these abilities are not abused and are only used when necessary or in the company's best interest.
Dominant drones are relatively free from guilt, as their minds are deeply programmed with the command of “mission accomplished” and “the company's interests come first.” As a result, they are willing to go to any extreme measures to complete their missions, but they can also feel the thoughts and emotions they had before they became drones. They may feel ethical dilemmas, but in the end, their actions are controlled by their program in mind.
ANKH is one of the divisions that receives the most support from Gleipnir HQ, and their projects are prioritized by HQ. This is because the profits they generate and their efficiency are vital to the company's operations.
